Bronze Figural, Bronze Base, Saint Jean The Evangelist & Eagle, 19th C

Resting on a square bronze base, and held by a system with manufactured screw threads, here is a beautiful bronze figure representing Saint Jean the Evangelist. His emblematic eagle at his feet, he holds (probably) the palm of martyrdom, today incomplete. Beautiful drapery and pretty patina of the bronze, antique.
Missing in the hand, clearly visible. Item needs to be cleaned. Please look carefully at my detailed photos, I don't hide anything!
European working, probably French, dating from the middle of the 19th century, Circa 1840-60.
