Rare Heart-shaped Inkwell, Pink Marble And Lead, Europe, Early 19th Century

Resting on three small bronze ball feet, this is a superb carved pink marble inkwell. It takes the form of a triple-evolving heart and is equipped with two lead ink receptacles. A small heart is hollowed on the front. A beautiful, genuine antique writing item.
Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, some minor wear, normal and insignificant.
European working, probably French or Italian, dating from the first part of the 19th century, circa 1820-1830.
Dimensions: 18.5cm x 14cm x 4cm.
