The finely modeled face stands out in white against a translucent bluish-gray background. The wavy hair, pinned up at the back and adorned with ivy leaves and small clusters of fruit, displays particularly meticulous sculptural work.
A fine example of 19th-century cameo art, inspired by depictions of women in classical antiquity.
