An interesting study notebook devoted to English heraldry, comprising 30 different plates, drawn and colored by hand.

The work notably features the principal British orders of chivalry, including the Order of the Garter, the Order of St. Patrick, the Order of the Bath, and the Order of St. Andrew, as well as royal and noble crowns, divisions of the shield, and numerous heraldic figures and charges.

The drawings, accompanied by handwritten captions in English, are meticulously executed and enhanced with color and gilding. Each plate features a different composition, reflecting a genuine scholarly effort.

Elegant green shagreen binding, adorned on the covers with a frieze of gilded palmettes. Ribbed spine accented with gilded fillets; gilded edges. Initials “C. B.” in the center of the front cover.

Undated and unsigned, this handwritten notebook is a unique piece, of particular interest to enthusiasts of heraldry, orders of chivalry, and historical documents.

Condition: The interior remains in very fresh condition, with a few slight signs of age. The binding shows scuffing and wear on the corners and edges of the spine, as visible in the photographs.
