Translated by Ernest Grégoire and Louis Moland. Illustrated by Yan' Dargent. Andersen was an admirer of E. T. A. Hoffmann, and was a consummate man of letters. He published both plays and novels, but his success was recognized in his children's stories. Andersen had many financial problems because Denmark had no international copyright agreement. Good condition.
