Alveo Coffee Table By Willy Rizzo, Black Lacquer And Steel, Mario Sabot, 1970s
◼ HISTORY & DESIGN
Alveo coffee table, designed by Willy Rizzo (1928–2013) and produced in Italy by Mario Sabot in the 1970s. A renowned photographer before turning his attention to furniture design, Rizzo developed a design language characterized by lacquered forms, polished metal, and concealed functions. The Alveo embodies this synthesis: a thick tabletop with rounded corners, resting on a recessed base, and a built-in central tray designed to serve as a bar.

Central tray: steel, recessed into the top.
