"little Tulip" Armchair By Pierre Paulin For Artifort, 1965
The Les Merciers gallery is offering for sale this beautiful "Little Tulip" armchair, an organic masterpiece designed by the master of French design Pierre Paulin in 1965 and produced by Artifort.
Conceived as a compact version of his large lounge chair, the “Little Tulip” echoes the fluid, enveloping silhouette of a flower in full bloom. Its carefully crafted proportions (seat height: 46 cm) make it a particularly versatile piece, ideal as an elegant office chair, a luxurious accent seat, or to enhance a dining table. The contoured shell is upholstered in a bright green (anise) textured fabric and rests on the iconic circular base made of polished metal.
