"pumpkin" Sofa By Pierre Paulin, Ligne Roset Edition, Circa 2000
We are offering for sale this impressive two-seater sofa, the "Pumpkin" model, a masterpiece of organic seating designed by French designer Pierre Paulin (1927–2009).
Originally designed in 1971 at the request of the Mobilier National to furnish the private reception rooms of the presidency at the Élysée Palace, this iconic model was not made available to the general public until 2008 by the Ligne Roset furniture manufacturer. Our piece dates precisely from that famous year of production (2008), thus combining the historical precision of Paulin’s design with contemporary craftsmanship of the highest quality.
The upholstery, which meets exacting technical standards, is crafted from carmine-red Alcantara. The internal structure, made of high-resilience polyurethane foam, ensures remarkable support and seating comfort, in keeping with the manufacturer’s standards.
Condition:Exceptional condition. The piece has undergone meticulous care in our workshops, including a thorough cleaning of the Alcantara using an extractor. The upholstery is sound, with no major sun damage or structural wear. Authenticity is irrefutably confirmed by the presence of the “Ligne Roset” manufacturer’s labels as well as the designer’s “PP” monogram inserted into the side seams.
