The Les Merciers Gallery is privileged to present a timeless icon of Italian design: the “Toledo” lamp. Designed in 1973 by the renowned architect and designer Luigi Massoni, it is produced by the historic manufacturer Harveilluce iGuzzini.

This sculptural piece embodies the quintessence of the Space Age movement’s elegance. Its distinctive mushroom-shaped silhouette boldly contrasts the opaline clarity of a generous dome made of pure Perspex with the radical brilliance of a chrome-plated metal tulip base. More than just a light fixture, it is a true architectural sculpture that defines the space with a remarkable presence.

Condition and Authenticity (Transparence Galerie):This lamp is in exceptional vintage condition, virtually intact. The piece’s authenticity is certified by the presence of its original manufacturer’s label (“Harveilluce iGuzzini – made in Italy”) still affixed to the dome.

The white dome is immaculate and completely free of the yellowing often seen on plastics from this era. The metal base retains a perfect mirror-like shine, with no scratches. The electrical system is entirely original (including the double socket, the cord, and the switch).Operating Note: In the interest of complete transparency, we note that the original wiring is extremely sensitive to direct handling of the wire; however, this has no impact on its perfect daily operation when used in a fixed installation.
