Pascal Mourgue (1943–2014) – “les Colonnades” Library – Artelano
Bookcase designed by Pascal Mourgue (1943–2014) and produced by Artelano, part of the Les Colonnades series, dating from the late 20th century.
It consists of five clear glass shelves supported by two turned wooden columns stained in shades of mahogany red. The tapered columns, punctuated by the shelves, rest on a black rectangular base featuring a central drawer.
The design plays on the contrast between the transparency of the glass, the warmth of the wood, and the geometric precision of the base.
French designer Pascal Mourgue was known for his work in contemporary furniture design, notably through his collaborations with Artelano, Ligne Roset, and other furniture manufacturers.
The Artelano label is present on one of the glass shelves.
In very good condition.
