Large Vase Covered Urn In Fine Earthenware (pipe Clay) Neoclassical Medici Style Mar
A large, lidded ornamental vase made of fine “pipe clay” earthenware features an elegant cream-white hue and a neoclassical style of great refinement. A true collector’s item or ceremonial piece, this complete three-part set (vase, openwork riser, and lid topped with a pine cone) is distinguished by its rich relief decorations, notably its handles adorned with Bacchic mascarons featuring faun heads, its floral garlands, acanthus leaves, and upper frieze with rosettes. The set rests on an elegant pedestal and a square base. An intaglio stamped mark on the reverse, depicting a crown surmounting a monogram, attests to the meticulous craftsmanship of this period piece. In very good overall condition, the ceramic features fine natural crazing (glaze cracks) that lends it an authentic patina and old-world charm.
