Empire/restoration-style Marble And Patinated Bronze Grandfather Clock
An Empire-style clock (19th century), combining red veined marble with elements in patinated and gilded bronze.
This piece consists of a rectangular body made of light brown marble with red veins, resting on a marble base adorned with a frieze of cast and patinated bronze acanthus leaves. Four small square bronze feet support the entire structure.
The top of the clock is crowned by a large patinated bronze tazza (bowl), featuring a ribbed base and two coiled handles adorned with floral motifs. It rests on a raised marble block
In excellent presentation condition; the movement needs servicing (the wire pendulum and bell are missing)
