Pair Of Bronze Candelabra Signed F. Barbedienne – 19th Century
Pair of large 19th-century bronze candelabra with a brown patina, signed by the famous foundryman Ferdinand Barbedienne (signature stamped on the base).
Neo-Antique / Neo-Pompeian inspiration. Each candelabrum features four light arms adorned with foliage and vegetal volutes, topped by a figurine of a stork (or heron) with outstretched wings.
Fluted shaft with suspension chains, resting on a finely chiseled tripod with goat’s-foot feet and openwork palmette motifs.
Signature: “F. BARBEDIENNE” hallmark engraved in intaglio on one of the legs.
