Tsogho Vuvi Mask From Gabon: The Bweti Cult
Stunning Tsogho Vuvi mask from Gabon.
Height: 31.5 cm, good condition, signs of wear, beautiful patina from use.
This mask is aesthetically magnificent, with the face set within a double heart, the eyes half-closed, the mouth stretched as if for a kiss, the nose slender and slightly upturned, with delicate and soft modeling and a beautiful, serene presence—for me, a masterpiece of its kind.
