Small Wall Sconce Signed "daubrée" In Nancy—napoleon III Period.
Small wall sconce signed Daubrée in Nancy – Napoleon III period
Small Louis XVI-style wall sconce from the Napoleon III period, combining a veneered wooden base with chiseled and gilded bronze ornamentation.
The decoration consists of a radiant sun mask at the top, surmounting a lyre adorned with a garland. Cascading foliage frames the dial, crowned with a ribbon bow, while a pendant motif completes the lower section.
The white enamel dial, signed “Daubrée – Nancy,” features a delicate polychrome floral design arranged in garlands. The hours are indicated by black Arabic numerals and the quarter-hours by red numerals. Two ornate hands complete the ensemble.
A small-scale model whose decoration subtly echoes the ornamental vocabulary of the Louis XVI style.
In very good working condition. The mechanism functions very well; sold without a winding key.
