A unique clock! Dating from the late 19th century, in good working condition and in its original state.
It displays the days and hours and chimes once on the half-hour and twice on the hour.
The case is signed on a double back behind the balance wheel: “Michard frère et soeur, patented SGDG, Morez, Jura.”
The anchor escapement movement is signed “Veuve Michalet à Firminy.” Its bell has a very beautiful tone.
It features an optional single lyre pendulum
