A Bonnetière From Franche-comté
Originating from the Jura region, this small, single-door wardrobe in the Louis XIII style is topped with a beautiful openwork cornice. It rests on two ball feet at the front and straight feet at the back. Three shelves and a shelf inside provide ample storage space. It has survived in its original condition, with strongly projecting, beveled panels on the front and sides. Its uprights, crossbars, and cornice are carved in high relief with floral scrolls, and it retains its beautiful original lock. The highly ornate upper section of the cornice (32 cm high) is removable.
