"An Ancient Chinese Boat"
Wooden sculpture dating from the 18th century representing an ancient Chinese boat. Finely decorated with scales and intertwined flowers with a powerful prow head in the shape of a Lion of Fô, it never sailed but probably served as a receptacle for a sacred sculpture. Inside there are traces of almond green paint... Monoxyl, when drying the wood split at both ends. It is presented here on an old Volvic stone column. Base height 1.50m
