Elephant On A High-wheeler - Viennese Bronze, Ca. 1900
An amusing Viennese bronze depicting an elephant riding a high-wheeler, mounted on a base designed to resemble a cobblestone street.
The subject, full of humor and movement, is characteristic of Viennese art from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Viennese work, circa 1900.
Very good overall condition, with a beautiful antique patina and only a few tiny signs of wear on the polychrome finish.
Note: a missing nut under the base, which does not affect the stability of the piece once it is installed.
