Cat On The Lookout - Vienna Bronze, Circa 1900
Apolychrome, cold-painted Viennese figurine depicting a cat on the prowl, its body stretched forward, ready to pounce.
The highly expressive posture, with its legs stretched wide and tail raised, lends a great deal of movement to the composition. The fur is finely modeled, with lovely textural detail, and the yellow eyes accentuate the animal’s lively character.
Viennese work, circa 1900.
Good overall condition.
Some wear to the polychrome, consistent with its age.
