Art Nouveau Pendant Featuring A Female Figure - Lucien Janvier, Circa 1900
A beautiful Art Nouveau pendant in 18-karat gold, signed Lucien Janvier, depicting a female face in relief, framed by flowing lines and plant motifs characteristic of the 1900 aesthetic.
The pendant is adorned with a pearl pendant. The reverse side allows for the addition of a clasp so that it can also be worn as a brooch.
Lucien Janvier was a French designer active during the Art Nouveau period, and several of his figurative jewelry pieces—particularly those centered on the female figure—are documented today.
