Art Nouveau Flower Pendant - Made In France, Circa 1900
This is a lovely Art Nouveau pendant in 18-karat gold depicting a flower surrounded by stylized plant motifs and sinuous lines.
The piece combines two enameling techniques particularly common in the great Parisian workshops of the time: a translucent enamel known as “openwork enamel ” in a delicate milky white, and matte enamels, which are more prominent, in shades of green, yellow, and red. The combination of these textural and translucent effects lends the piece a remarkable balance and demonstrates great technical mastery in the service of elegance.
The pendant also features a detachable clasp that allows it to be used as a long necklace pendant, making it highly versatile.
With its high-quality enamel work, this piece is characteristic of the Art Nouveau aesthetic and may evoke certain creations by Lucien Feuillâtre.
Made in France, circa 1900.
Eagle-head hallmark.
