Silver Pendant, Entirely Set With Blue Stones And Marcasite, Circa 1880.

Pendant set in 800°/°° solid silver, no hallmark but tested, large in size, openwork, domed, and entirely set in traditional closed-set style on a base of small metal studs, featuring blue synthetic stones (sapphire) and calibrated, faceted cut glass, with natural marcasite beads in a beaded closed setting, finished with several pendants and a matching hinged bail; traces of soldering on the back; and decorative motifs on the rear pendants; was originally a brooch—given its size, I believe it was a corsage brooch, a piece with a very Oriental style, of unknown provenance, likely dating from the late 19th century, around 1880; uncommon on the market; cord not included; gross weight 18.3 g; height as worn; in good condition, with a patina from age.
