Owl - Viennese Bronze, Bergmann, Late 19th Century

Artist: Atelier Franz Bergmann (cachet Amphore B)

A superb and rare owl in polychrome cold-painted Viennese bronze, depicted in a very natural pose.

The plumage is finely crafted and rendered in shades of brown, gold, and cream, with particularly meticulous detail around the facial mask, wings, and talons.

The piece bears the “B” mark inside an amphora on the underside, from the Franz Bergmann workshop.

Viennese work, late 19th century.
Good overall condition.

Some wear to the polychrome, consistent with its age.
