A rare pair of 18-karat gold earrings, consisting of several intricately crafted articulated elements adorned with oval citrines set in a closed-setting.

The design combines delicate chiseling and filigree work, enhanced with grènetis, and accented by numerous seed pearls, some arranged in movable pendants.

With their construction featuring several articulated sections, the abundance of seed pearls, and the combination of gold and citrines, these earrings are fully in keeping with the tradition of Mediterranean jewelry from the first half of the 19th century. Their style can be linked to Valencian pendants, while also exhibiting characteristics found in certain pieces from southern Italy.
