Sculptural "fish" Vase In San Marino Ceramic – Titano, Attributed To A. Giulianelli, 1960
A unique narrative and panoramic design, this vase features a narrative and poetic fresco on the theme of early modes of transportation and the Belle Époque
Side A: Two cyclists in bowler hats on their velocipedes.
Side B: Two figures in top hats aboard a vintage automobile, with a hot-air balloon floating above them.
The figures, vehicles, and blue clouds physically stand out from the surface.
Bright, deep, and luminous red enamel, typical of the work ofGiulianelli. The designs and blue clouds are rendered in high relief and outlined in black.Sculptural handle: An impressive openwork handle resembling a rock formation or a ladder, covered in textured matte black enamel with a volcanic effect (Smalto Roccia / Fat Lava).
Signed on the base: “Titano Rep San Marino”.
Height : 38 cm by 30 cmOverall in very good vintage condition. The body of the vase, the textured handle, and the raised motifs are perfectly preserved. Note slight normal wear and tear under the base, evidence of its authenticity and age, which is completely invisible when the vase is standing upright.
