Born in Russia in 1901, Eugène Klementieff settled in France in the early 1920s. He regularly exhibited his works in Paris at the Salon des Artistes Indépendants and the Salon d’Automne beginning in 1926. His most memorable masterpiece remains the creation of the monumental murals depicting the Stations of the Cross (spanning 95 m²) inside the Church of St. Joan of Arc in Nice.
