Tibetan-himalayan Shakyamuni Buddha In Bronze – 17th–18th Century
A large figure of Shakyamuni made of a copper alloy, originating from the Tibetan-Himalayan region and dating from the 17th–18th centuries. The Buddha is seated in meditation on a double lotus-shaped pedestal, with his right hand in the abhaya mudra and his left hand resting in his lap. The antique casting exhibits a patina and signs of wear consistent with its age. In its original condition with visible wear and localized discoloration. Height 56 cm, width 37 cm, weight 14.3 kg.
