Pascal Guyot & Bernard Aconito (biot) Blown Glass Ball Vase, 1992
This exceptional piece was created in their famous studio in Biot (Alpes-Maritimes) in the early 1990s.
The vase features a magnificent color gradient ranging from an intense cobalt blue at the base to a very soft celadon blue at the neck. The body is adorned with a complex Art Nouveau-inspired botanical design, created using hot metal oxide inclusions that produce iridescent highlights and stylized vine and leaf motifs, with a scalloped or wavy neck.
Signed and dated with a point under the base: “Guyot Aconito 10/14/92”.
