Gustave ASCH, a renowned sculptor and ceramic artist, first practiced his craft in Tours, then in Sainte Radegonde. Active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Asch is particularly known for his “ Bleu de Tours ,” a dark blue glaze similar to the famous “Bleu de Sèvres.” In his workshops, he created ceramic vases glazed in Bleu de Tours, which he decorated with delicate naturalistic motifs in gold,
