2 late 17th or early 18th cty thick Tunisian polychrome ceramic tiles
Both pieces feature a characteristic geometric design. These tiles, when adorning the walls, formed a pattern of large, radiating, and repetitive geometric motifs.
The colors are bright and gorgeous: shooting green to turquoise blue (cobalt or copper oxide), blue-gray manganese (manganese oxide), and sunny yellow (antimony oxide).
Condition:
A significant chip on the side of the larger tile (maybe during disassembly!); the other is in very good condition.
