Rare 18th Rouen Faience Plate With Coat Of Arms, Known As " 5 Colours"

FRENCH FAIENCE:
A mid-18th century (circa 1740) Rouen faience armorial (reserve with a stylized monogram) serving plate, known as the "five colors" plate (green, yellow, blue, manganese, and red colors). The colors come from metallic oxides of copper, antimony, cobalt, manganese, and iron. Plain fire technique, that is means that enamel and colors are fired at the same time at high temperature, without possibility of overpainting or corrections.
Rich and delicate decoration inspied by Chinese famille verte enamels ceramics
*featuring a central floral basket with fruit;
*a border with floral baskets and garlands, horn of plenty.

Very good condition, with only one small chip visible on the reverse of the plate.
