Lalique France - “saint-hubert” - Crystal Decanter And 5 Port/liqueur Glasses - Marc Lali

An elegant Lalique “Saint-Hubert” crystal set consisting of a decanter with a stopper and five small port/liqueur glasses.

The Saint-Hubert set was introduced by Lalique in 1947, at the beginning of the Marc Lalique period, when the company was fully developing its crystal production following the passing of René Lalique. The small, straight-sided glasses in this set, including the Gobelet No. 3, appear in the Lalique catalog as a design by Marc Lalique circa 1950.

The design, inspired by oak leaves, evokes the forest and hunting world associated with Saint Hubert, traditionally considered the patron saint of hunters.

The carafe features a rounded shape with a stepped neck and a matching sculpted stopper. The five glasses are made of polished crystal, resting on a partially satin-finished molded base.

The decanter is signed “Lalique France” on the base. The glasses also bear a “Lalique France” signature, sometimes faded from use; on one of them, it is difficult to read.

Condition: very good overall condition, with slight signs of use, a few micro-scratches on the surface, and normal wear associated with age.
