Müller Frères Lunéville - Vase - Large Art Deco Soliflore Vase In Red Marbled Glass
Artist: Müller Frères Lunéville
Large soliflore vase by Muller Frères, Lunéville, dating from the early 20th century.
The Muller brothers came from a family of glassworkers from Lorraine. Several of them worked at Émile Gallé’s glassworks before establishing their own production near Lunéville at the end of the 19th century. Their workshop became known for marbled and layered glass, first influenced by the École de Nancy and later by Art Deco design.
This example has a long narrow neck, flared rim and rounded body resting on a dark circular foot. The glass is predominantly red and orange, with irregular dark marbling and metallic inclusions.
Signed on the body: “Muller Fres Lunéville.”
Height: approximately 41 cm.
Condition: Good overall condition, with no cracks or restorations observed. Scratches and normal signs of wear are present underneath the base. Please examine the photographs carefully, as they form part of the condition report.
