Rare Putto Lamp In Bisque And Gilt Bronze With Glass Bead Lampshade – 19th Century

A rare late 19th-century table lamp in the Louis XV style, featuring a winged putto in bisque or unglazed white porcelain, combined with an elegant gilt bronze or brass mount decorated with rose stems, leaves and flowers.

The upper section is fitted with an original bell-shaped lampshade made of a delicate mesh of small faceted transparent glass beads, creating a particularly attractive play of light when illuminated.

The whole rests on a circular gilt metal base. The contrast between the matte white putto, the gilt metal and the transparency of the lampshade gives this lamp a refined and highly decorative character.
