A large Napoleon III style mantel clock set in finely chased gilt bronze, comprising a central clock and a pair of multi-light candelabra. French work from the 19th century, characteristic of the Napoleon III taste for richly ornamented compositions, combining abundant decoration of scrolls, foliage, mascarons, and sculptural elements of high quality. The clock features an enamel dial with Roman numerals, set within a fully chased bronze frame. The striking mechanical movement is housed in a richly decorated case, resting on ornate feet. The perfectly matching candelabra display ornamentation consistent with the clock, forming a harmonious and spectacular decorative ensemble. Very good overall condition. Beautiful old gilding with a uniform patina. Movement present (functioning to be checked or serviced according to the buyer's requirements). An important decorative trim piece, emblematic of the Napoleon III style, ideal for a classic interior or a prestigious setting. The entire set is made of bronze, without any added marble elements.
