A rare Art Deco sculpture signed by G. Gori, depicting an elegant woman accompanied by her imposing Great Dane.

Crafted from regule with a nuanced dark patina, featuring remarkable polychrome and gilded details, the sculpture reflects the Art Deco period’s characteristic taste for stylized female figures and pets, symbols of distinction and modernity.

Georges Gori,  a French sculptor of the Art Deco period, of Italian origin.

Active primarily in the 1920s and 1930s. He was a student of the sculptors Jean-Antoine Injalbert and Henri Bouchard and exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français; notably, he won a bronze medal in 1931.
