Regional Louis XV Cabinet Made Of Cherry Wood. 18th-century Piece
A beautiful regional Louis XV-style cabinet, dating from the second half of the 18th century, crafted from solid cherry wood.
It opens with two large doors featuring heavily molded and scalloped panels, characteristic of provincial Louis XV furniture.
The front is adorned with lovely carved decoration: a stylized heart on the upper rail, sinuous motifs, and a five-pointed star within a medallion on the lower rail. It rests on two elegant, arched front legs topped with carved scrolls.
The long, cut-out keyholes and the iron pins contribute to the piece’s antique character.
The interior, which is particularly interesting, has retained its traditional layout with shelves and two drawers.
The back is made of wide antique planks, featuring a handcrafted construction characteristic of the 18th century. The lock and key are functional.
This cabinet has undergone a traditional restoration by a cabinetmaker, carried out with respect for its construction and character.
It retains a beautiful patina and the normal signs of its age.
