Restored Mahogany Chest Of Drawers, 5 Drawers. Gray Marble With White Veins. Early 19th Century.

A beautiful and substantial chest of drawers. Restored around 1820–1830, it features an elegant mahogany-veneered front with beautiful grain patterns, carefully arranged in a mirror pattern.

It features five drawers, including a top drawer integrated into the apron beneath the top.
The other four drawers are adorned with ring handles and gilded bronze keyholes.

Traditionally crafted to a high standard, with oak drawer bottoms and solid partition panels between each drawer—a detail characteristic of particularly meticulous construction.

The sides, equally elegant, feature beautiful framed mahogany panels. The piece rests on a straight base topped with small feet.

The chest of drawers is topped with a beautiful dark gray marble slab veined with white, original and intact.

A generously proportioned piece, simple and elegant, representative of French furniture from the Restoration period.
