Important Ceremonial Armchair, Renaissance-louis XIII Style, Solid Walnut, 19th-century Seat

A very important Neo-Renaissance ceremonial armchair in solid walnut;
This majestic chair rests on four turned baluster legs connected by an H-shaped crossbar, also turned in the baluster style.
The two front legs are connected by a richly carved and openwork crossbar;
The backrest is very tall and framed by two columns topped with two spindles.
It is topped by a magnificent pediment that is richly carved and openwork.
The upholstery is antique but still very comfortable; the covering fabric is an antique machine-woven tapestry with a braided finish. The piece is in good household condition, though there are a few old signs of wood-boring insects that do not affect the structural integrity.
A beautifully crafted piece in the Neo-Renaissance style from the second half of the 19th century.
