Pair Of Armchairs, Renaissance Style - Louis XIII In Waxed Wood, 19th Century
Pair of armchairs, also known as arm chairs, in natural waxed wood. Each armchair rests on four square legs, all connected by straight stretchers. The backrest is short and slopes outwards. The seat was reupholstered a few years ago; the webbing is in very good condition (see photo 12). The upholstery fabric is in good condition overall, but shows a few small pulls on the backrests (see photo 11). These two chairs were made in the 19th century from older wood, retaining the original dimensions of the frame. One of the chairs has a splice on one of the rear legs (see photo 10).
