Mid-19th Century Deckelpokal Vase, Engraved

Elegant Bohemian crystal vase, finely engraved and with ruby ​​crystal partitions, known as a "deckelpokal," a term used to refer to lidded ceremonial vessels, typical of Central European artistic craftsmanship. The vase is chalice-shaped, with a rounded, beveled base and a hinged lid. The vase features numerous engraved decorations, which, together with the red partitions, further enhance its refinement. These are primarily plant-like decorations, while the center of the vase depicts a hunting scene, featuring a hunter sitting with a rifle in a forest, while deer are depicted on the other side. This is an object of great taste and elegance, capable of lending a touch of class and antiquity to any setting. Bohemian manufacture, from the Biedermeier period, around the mid-19th century.
