Oval pastel depicting an elegant woman from the late Ancien Régime, styled in the Louis XVI fashion and wearing a blue ribbon tied around her neck.

The delicate rendering of the face, the subtlety of the skin tones, and the harmony of the colors attest to the meticulous execution characteristic of pastel portraits from the second half of the 18th century.

Signed “E. Poujardin” in the lower left corner.

Presented in its antique oval gilded wood frame, included with the artwork.
