Important Mythological Clock "diana The Huntress," Charles X Period, Early 19th Century

A mythological gilded bronze clock depicting "Diana the Huntress" standing and playing the lyre, accompanied by her attributes such as a hunting dog, a bow, and a quiver.... A white enameled dial displaying the hours in Roman numerals, signed *Sironval jeune. Rectangular base with a double-tiered design, richly chased with high relief depicting vases, lyres, and a quiver, accompanied by arabesques in the center. It rests on four small, delicately chased ball feet. Original string-wound movement striking the hours and half-hours, operated by its key. (Movement, balance wheel, and bezel numbered 249). Original mercury gilding with a double patina in very good condition, cleaned by our workshop.
*Sironval, the young Parisian clockmaker listed in the Tardy.
