Restoration Period Bronze Clock - 19th Century

Superb bronze clock with a brown patina and gilt bronze, most likely depicting Apollo, represented by musical attributes (lyre, musical score, etc.). The model reflects the neoclassical style of the Restoration period (circa 1820), directly inspired by antiquity. It features a circular gilt bronze dial with Roman numerals and its original mechanical movement. The whole rests on an architecturally designed base with stepped edges, highlighted by gilt decorative motifs, creating a highly elegant composition. A decorative clock with fine chasing and original patina, the movement is not functional and needs repair (key included). Height 51 cm, Width 31 cm, Depth 12 cm. Bronze clock, Restoration period, Apollo clock, Neoclassical clock, Late Empire clock, Gilt bronze, Mercury, 19th century horology, Mythological clock, Antique mantel clock
