Birkin 30 handbag by Hermès. Production dated to 2006, identified by the J stamp inside a square, accompanied by the number 14 and a distinctive hallmark. Provenance: from a private French collection.

The exterior is crafted from black Togo calf leather, a highly sought-after material appreciated for its regular grain, suppleness and strong resistance to scratches. The interior lining is made from matching Mysore goatskin. The structure is well maintained, and the bag retains a very beautiful shape.

Palladium-finish metal hardware. The interior features two flat pockets, one open and the other secured with a zip fastening.

Excellent overall condition, with very light signs of use documented in the photographs. A complete ultraviolet light inspection confirms the absence of any restoration. The base is in excellent condition. The edges and corners are remarkably well preserved, with no significant wear. Only one corner shows a very slight, discreet rub, documented in the photographs. The interior is in perfect condition and free from any stains. There is absolutely no unwanted odour.

A slight superficial micro-crack can be observed on the upper edge coating, over approximately 5 to 6 cm, at the flexion points. This detail is common on older Birkin bags and corresponds to the natural ageing of the edge resin after nearly twenty years. It has no structural impact and remains strictly aesthetic. This is documented in the photographs.

The palladium hardware is very well preserved. Only light micro-scratches from use can be observed on the two central plates of the clasp. This is entirely normal wear linked to handling the clasp, with no alteration or major aesthetic impact.

Included accessories: original orange Hermès box, with the handwritten word “Sacs” in pen on the lid, dust bag, small dust bag for the padlock, and certificate of authenticity. The padlock is supplied with one key only. The second key is missing.
