A superb, complete set of Caucasian Maffrash panels from the mid-19th century.
Origin: Karabakh, Armenia.

Two large panels: 106 x 45 cm
Two small panels: 56 x 42 cm

This set truly stands out from the fragments of Maffrash that are usually found.
The weaving is masterful, of extreme finesse and total precision.
One instantly appreciates the weaver’s dexterity. This is great art!

What also strikes the eye at first glance is the choice and harmony of the natural, plant-based dyes. An incredible depth.
These colors are rich and saturated.
Deep blue like a Caucasian night, intense brick red, sandy golden yellow, green with bluish highlights...
The patterns are so precise that they seem carved into the fabric...

In perfect condition; only one of the two large panels has a flaw. See photo.
