Cellar Corkscrew - Cipriano Ghidini 1973
Large double-lever cellar corkscrew, model by Cipriano Ghidini patented in 1973.
Founder of the Italian firm Ghidini Cipriano, based in Lumezzane, near Brescia, Cipriano Ghidini developed a production of utilitarian metal objects in the 20th century, notably around cellar accessories and corkscrews. This model is part of this Italian production, where professional use is combined with a design directly linked to the world of wine.
The corkscrew features a design of grapevines, vine leaves, bunches of grapes and a barrel. The top handle incorporates a bottle opener. The double-lever mechanism activates an Archimedean screw worm, enabling the cork to be extracted with reduced effort, particularly on large containers.
This model is distinguished by its large dimensions, greater than common Botticello models.
it is made of chromed steel showing signs of use, chrome wear and surface oxidation.
