The painting is in good original condition, with only very slight missing paint, mainly on the edges of the canvas. There is old crackling throughout, consistent with the age of the work. The frame has a beautiful, authentic patina of age, with slight wear revealing the red or gray bowl under the gilding in places. A few small traces, old rubs and cracks confirm its antique character.
