Antique Tibetan Solid Silver Buddhist Prayer Wheel With Original Prayers Sutra

A fine antique Tibetan Buddhist hand prayer wheel (mani wheel), crafted in solid silver with a turned wooden handle, retaining its original internal prayer scrolls.

The cylindrical body is beautifully worked in repoussé with repeated Tibetan script, the sacred mantra Om Mani Padme Hum, traditionally associated with devotional prayer wheels.

The removable lid retains its original silver finial, and the attached silver chain with weighted terminal remains intact, allowing the wheel to spin correctly during ritual use.

Inside, the original cloth-wrapped prayer contents remain present, an important feature for collectors of authentic Himalayan devotional objects.

This is a genuine antique devotional object rather than a modern tourist piece, likely dating from the late 19th to early 20th century.
